We will be in Italy, by the sea, in a place that feels held, lived in, and deeply rooted. The kind of property that invites you to slow down without trying.
The days unfold naturally. There is space to move, to explore, to sit a little longer at the table, to laugh, to rest, to be in your body instead of constantly in your head. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, things begin to shift in a way that does not feel forced or overworked. It feels like something finally clicking into place because you are in the right environment for it.
What makes this different
When you come into a space with Danielle, it is never about following a tight structure or striving for the perfect format. She pays attention to what is actually happening in real time. The energy in the room, what is ready to open, what needs space, what wants to be seen.
There is a rhythm that naturally takes over. Conversations deepen with ease as everyone speaks the same language, clarity arrives without pressure, and the experience becomes something that feels both intentional and completely organic at the same time.

Masseria Specula
A restored 17th century farmhouse with indoor and outdoor retreat spaces, relax gardens with sun beds, a sea view tub, and Apulian grandmothers cooking every meal from scratch using local seasonal ingredients.
Ionian Sea
A 15 minute walk through olive groves brings you to the beach. Clear turquoise water, soft sand, and open sky. Daily swims are built into the schedule.
Lecce
Known as the Florence of the South, Lecce is one of the most breathtaking Baroque cities in the world. Ornate golden stone architecture, cobblestone streets, and a city that feels like it exists outside of time. One hour from the masseria.
Manduria
A historic walled town that is the birthplace of Primitivo di Manduria, one of Italy's most celebrated wines. Ancient streets, centuries-old wine traditions, and the kind of place that makes you understand why people never leave southern Italy. 15 minutes away.
Olive oil tasting
A guided sensory tasting of three organic extra virgin olive oils produced on and around the estate, paired with a seasonal local aperitivo. One of those experiences that changes the way you think about food.
Open air movie night
Cinema under the Puglia sky. Outdoor seating, warm evening air, and a film chosen for the group. One of those nights people talk about long after.
Flamingo salt lake hike
A coastal walk from the masseria to a protected natural salt lake where wild flamingos live. Scroll along the coastline, genuinely unlike anything else!
Food and meals
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared daily by our team of Apulian women using local, seasonal ingredients. Eating together is woven into the rhythm of the retreat. The food here is part of the experience.

About the deposit
The $1,000 deposit is non-refundable but fully transferable. If minimum capacity is not reached by April 1st, the retreat moves to July 2027 and your deposit holds your spot and founding rate at that date. Your deposit can also be applied to any other Danielle Mercurio retreat or service. If global or travel conditions shift in a way that impacts the experience, all payments are transferable to a future retreat. Either way, your yes is protected!
Getting there. Fly into Brindisi (BDS), approximately 30 minutes from the masseria and the recommended arrival airport, or Bari (BRI) for more international connections. Airport transfers can be arranged through us directly and details are shared upon booking confirmation.
