They also observed the seasons, and every summer they would fall into a drought. However they realized that when the Sun Star Sirius rose in the dawn sky, preserved by Sopdet, the goddess who would later become known as Isis; the divine feminine who orchestrates timing, who births renewal from the waters, who knows how to call abundance into being. They watched her star return and in turn the Nile flood brilliantly, creating an overflow that unearthed everything they needed to keep going.

This period named Wepet Renpet, the Egyptian New Year, aka “the Opening of the Year” and it is celebrated as a time of abundance, creation, and rejoicing in what it means to be alive.

Now we're living inside the Age of Aquarius, and Leo Season opposing such begs the question: Who am I?

And Aquarius asks alongside it: How does who I am actually matter to the world? These energies are designed to work in harmony together, Leo generates the spark of authentic self-expression while Aquarius carries that spark into the collective.

In modern spirituality, 8/8 was chosen as the evolved Egyptian New Year, The Lion’s Gate. Utilizing the energy of eight (infinite abundance) and Leo the Lion (bright light and teacher) to culminate potential, acceleration, and faith as a way to re-ignite the lighting era into the current Golden Age.
